It just goes to show that when inventing a new tone of voice and branding for a client, that thorough research, not only into the history of the client’s background but also full market research into buying trends and emotions, pays dividends when transforming a brand through design.
For years Hypnos had been the nation’s certified supplier of distinguished mattresses with the Royal Warrant acting as a trusted sign of approval. But in order to keep up with the times they knew they had to evolve in order to attract more customers and to stop them from shopping in superstores for their new mattress.
Hypnos was the Greek God of sleep and our research showed that whilst people were tech savvy when purchasing other gadgetry for their homes, the main factors of concern with their prospective mattress purchase was ensuring comfort and a good night’s sleep.
This shift in buying trends from when Hypnos first started had to be reflected in their new tone of voice and subsequent design.
Copy for Hypnos was paramount in terms of selling the dream and boosting SEO, so keywords throughout were established and written into the text with clever linking to navigate through the pages.
This project reflected in our minds the importance of ticking every box for our clients when delivering the Halo Effect.
